I live in Florida where the summers are hot. I’m rural now but many years ago gardened in an urban area where livestock wasn’t allowed. At the time no livestock of any kind was allowed, but I did have a nice garden. Now, I garden mostly in Florida’s cooler months and focus on frost‑tolerant veggies. I raise chickens too. Overall it has been a great experience. I look forward to hearing from others about their experiences. I’m looking for practical tips and stories: favorite winter varieties, frost‑protection tricks that actually work here, and how you design low‑maintenance beds when animals are around. Photos and specific varieties are welcome!
