Egg Production: Breeds like Rhode Island Reds, Leghorns, and Australorps are known for their high egg yield.
Meat Production: If your focus is on meat, consider breeds such as Cornish Cross or Red Ranger.
Dual-Purpose: Breeds like Plymouth Rocks and Orpingtons provide both eggs and meat.

Preparing Housing and Care
A secure and comfortable environment is vital for your poultry's health:
Coop Requirements:
Ensure the coop is well-ventilated and predator-proof.
Provide nesting boxes for laying eggs and perches for roosting.

Space Needs:
Each medium-sized chicken requires at least 3 square feet inside the coop and 8-10 square feet outdoors.
